97% of Vail’s Massive Terrain is Open!
Vail, Colorado is truly a world class vacation destination. Skiing is superb and continues to get better as more snow falls daily! 97% of Vail’s massive terrain is open including 5108 of 5289 acres, 27 of 31 lifts, and 193 of 193 trails are open. At Beaver Creek, 72% of terrain is open including 1303 of 1815 acres, 21 of 25 lifts, and 102 of 149 trails are open.
Events that are taking place this week in Vail include a variety of activities to enhance your vacation experience. This week, Vail is offering free tours of the Vail Mountain to skiers and snowboarders that are 50 years of age and older. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with Vail’s 5,289 acres of skiable terrain. This tour meets at Eagle Nest at 9:15 AM. Not 50 years old? No worries, Vail also offers daily tours for all intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders who would like to become more familiar with Vail Mountain. Tours meet at Eagle’s Nest and Mid-Vail. Reservations are not required, so just show up with a smile and be ready to have some fun.
Trying to figure out what to do after the lifts close? Adventure Ridge at the top of the Gondola at Eagle’s Nest is a great place for families and people of all ages to enjoy a variety of activities such as snow tubing, bungee trampoline, kids’ snowmobiling, and ski biking.
