A Look At Our High Performance Skis
We strive to have the best customer service in the business, and part of that success comes from making sure we also have the best ski equipment available. Our high performance package offers a variety of demo skis that are great for any type of terrain you may find while out on your ski vacation.
With us being a Rossignol partner, all of our skis are exclusively Rossignol but that doesn’t mean that these skis are too different then your sticks back home. It’s always fun to try out a new pair of skis and there’s no better time to do it then out during your vacation.
Even if you aren’t an expert in all the specs, having a little bit of an understanding of the skis you are renting will insure that you are finding the equipment that best fits your ability. With that being said, here’s a quick breakdown of the skis that we offer through our High Performance Package.
Black Ops Senders
Our widest ski that we carry. The Senders are a part of the Black Ops series that replaced Rossignol’s classic 7 Series two years ago. These skis come in four different lengths, and the width of the ski depends on which length you are going with.
Length (CM) | 164 | 172 | 178 | 186 |
Tip Width (MM) | 137 | 137 | 138 | 139 |
Underfoot (MM) | 102 | 103 | 104 | 106 |
Tail Width (MM) | 127 | 127 | 128 | 129 |
For you East coasters out there, this is the fat ski you dream about skiing through powder on when you’re planning your vacation out West. It’s got a similar rocker feel to the Soul 7’s but not as exaggerated or flexible. A bit stiffer of a ski allows you to still float above that powder while crushing through more unstable terrain.
Black Ops Escapers
The Escaper is Rossignol’s most popular ski within their Black Ops collection. This ski is a bit narrower than the Sender but is still great for cruising over a few inches of fresh snow without you feeling overpowered by a wider ski. In comparison to Rossignol’s old 7 series this ski is similar to the Sky 7 but stiffer and with a bit less rocker. This ski has easily become our most popular ski for people renting the High Performance Package.
Length (CM) | 156 | 164 | 172 | 178 | 186 |
Tip Width (MM) | 127 | 127 | 127 | 128 | 128 |
Underfoot (MM) | 92 | 93 | 93 | 94 | 95 |
Tail Width (MM) | 117 | 117 | 117 | 118 | 118 |
Black Ops Stargazers
This is our first year carrying the woman’s exclusive Black Ops Stargazer and so far we’ve heard nothing but great reviews from our customers. This is definitely a one quiver ski that can be taken to any part of the mountain and perform expressively. It’s tip shape allows it to be playful in some lighter snow while it’s tail’s more traditional shape helps you carve easily and quietly on groomers.
Length (CM) | 154 | 162 | 170 |
Tip Width (MM) | 126 | 127 | 127 |
Underfoot (MM) | 90 | 92 | 94 |
Tail Width (MM) | 116 | 117 | 117 |
Experience 86 and 82
The Experience series is Rossignol’s signature all mountain skis that I perfect for cruising all across the resort. For people who are used to a skinnier ski with a more traditional shape or someone coming from the East coast. These skis are going to have a familiar feel to them.
