A New Era for Deer Valley Skiers
Located in Park City, Utah, Deer Valley Resort is renowned for its luxurious skiing experience, with its perfect groomers, powder stashes, impeccable customer service, and delicious on-mountain dining. Recently, during the 2024⁄25 season, the resort unveiled numerous new amenities that enhance the entire ski experience. Take a closer look at the exciting new additions to explore at Deer Valley.
Expanded Terrain
This season, Deer Valley opened 300 new skiable acres near the East Village. This terrain is part of Phase I of the resort’s Expanded Excellence and is currently accessible via three brand new lifts. The area offers scenic views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and surrounding mountains, and has a lot of great terrain catered to beginner skiers.
Three New Chairlifts
Also added this season were three new, modern chairlifts — Keetley Express, Hoodoo Express, and Aurora. These lifts provide access to the recently expanded terrain in Deer Valley East.
An experience of its own, the six-person Keetley Express chairlift is the epitome of comfort, with heated seats and a bubble cover to block the elements.
Expanded Access
As part of the Deer Valley East development, the resort added 500 additional skier parking spots just off of Highway 40 making the resort even more accessible regardless of which direction you arrive from.
The Green Monster
Officially Utah’s longest ski run, The Green Monster is a 4.85-mile beginner trail that takes skiers from Bald Mountain, through expanded terrain to Deer Valley East. The ski run offers stunning views of Mt. Timpanogos, the nearby Heber Valley, and endless blue skies.
Cat Skiing
In February, Deer Valley introduced cat skiing to its list of experiences, where adventurous guests are treated to untouched snow in the resort’s expanded terrain. Guided by Ski Patrol and Mountain Hosts, guests have the options to book the entire snowcat for a private tour with friends and family, or book individual spots.
Chute Eleven
Located at the Empire Lodge, Deer Valley expanded its après-ski scene in December when it opened the Chute Eleven Yurt. The Yurt features slopeside DJ sets, gourmet seafood, signature cocktails, and small bites in a luxurious mountain modern setting. Think champagne and caviar!
With expanded terrain, improved accessibility, and new amenities, Deer Valley Resort’s unparalleled ski experience is now even better. Whether you’re a longtime visitor or a first-time guest, prepare to be wowed by your next Deer Valley ski day and stay tuned for everything the resort has in store for the 2025⁄26 season. It’s only just the beginning!
