Avant Ski is enhancing the winter sports experience for recreational skiers and riders by enabling them to discover and enjoy new destinations like locals. Until recently, the only way to find the best runs, hidden powder stashes, and après hotspots was to get lucky and ride the chairlift with a talkative local willing to reveal their secrets. But a great ski trip shouldn’t turn on luck!
Instead, Avant Ski has assembled a nationwide network of contributors made up of industry experts including lifetime ski and snowboard enthusiasts, ski instructors and ski patrollers. With personalized recommendations on multi-resort season passes, resort guides, daily itineraries, curated après lists, snow sports gear guides, and insider tips, Avant Ski is an objective, one-stop shop for all the ingredients of a successful ski trip.
A play on “après ski” — the beloved post-snow pastime of cocktails, hot chocolate, and epic tales —the name Avant Ski is meant to encapsulate that same great experience, but before ever hitting the slopes. All of the content is oriented towards busy professionals with a simple and family-friendly perspective that makes expert-level ski and snowboard information accessible to everyone. Avant Ski wants all ages and abilities to explore new resorts and experience them as if they were locals and insiders.
Avant Ski currently has resort guides to 50 destinations across North America including nearly all of the destinations where Ski Butlers operates (with the exception of Sun Valley, Big Sky and Breckenridge — all of which are in the works). The team has grown to be 20 contributors strong and plans to expand its guides to cover the more than 150 resorts across North America and abroad.
