Best Mexican Food in Vail

Vail may be famous for it’s snow and expansive, varied terrain; but a less well known fact is that it’s overflowing with restaurants serving great Mexican food. There’s a restaurant for every occasion and style, and we’ve highlighted a few of our favorites below.

La Cantina is some of the best value food you can get in Vail, Mexican or otherwise! It’s located right in Vail Village, in the Vail Transportation Center next to the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum. Start your meal off with 5 different salsas and chips from the buffet. Then place your order for anything from burritos to full asada plates with rice and beans.

If you’re looking for a more upscale dinner experience, then you can’t go wrong with Maya. Located in the Westin Riverfront in nearby Avon, it is a delicious high-end experience. They also offer an outdoor patio with firepits, providing excellent views of the Eagle River and nearby Beaver Creek. Don’t miss their Sunday Brunch specials!

If live music is more your thing, then Agave is the perfect blend of food and entertainment. It is located in Avon directly across from the Beaver Creek Bear Lot. The tacos are among the best in the valley, and be sure to ask for a side of freshly made warm tortillas while you wait for your meal. Live music starts on select nights at 10pm, so grab a margarita and stay all night!

Last but certainly not least is Taqueria No Se Hagan Bolas. This easily wins for the most authentic Mexican food in the valley, though it’s a bit of a no-frills hole in the wall. Some of our favorites include the street tacos(grab four!) or for a full meal the double deluxe burger especial- including sliced avocado and pineapple!
