The Bucks have named Jesse Davis as head coach for the 2015 – 2016 season. Davis brings over 16 years of high level coaching and operations experience to the team and is sure to be an asset as the season gets under way. The two assistant coaches for the team are both hometown heroes: Billy Barto and Kory DeKoevend. Barto is currently the Summit High School head coach, and grew up playing hockey in Summit County so the local influence will be strong. DeKoevend was born in Vail, CO, but was raised in Summit County. Kory is currently the Head Coach of the Mountain Militia, as well as the Summit Youth Hockey Program Director. Needless to say, the Bucks will be outfitted with some of the best local coaches Summit County has to offer.
The Bucks are comprised of a number of talented young locals as well as international talent that have decided to come to Summit County to better their skills as well as give back to the community through entertainment. A few locals throwing their name into the mix include Ben Schoeffield (defenseman), George Kamins (forward), and Jesse Reller (defenseman). Americans moving to the area to join the talented squad include Garrett Ferguson (defenseman) form Craig, CO, Anthony Flores and Trevor Temple both from the midwest, as well as players from Chicago and other American cities. To round out the order, Milo Loftstrom, a forward from Sweden has signed with the Bucks for the upcoming season. A big welcome to Summit County to all players and coaches that have dedicated their winter season to making the new hockey club a form of entertainment for visitors and locals alike, while also providing a perfect avenue for these young players to further their hockey careers.
