Family Fun in Park City
Winter is here and if you’re anything like us you’ve started planning your next ski trip. With our help, we can take the stress away from planning your family’s rentals but what about the stress that happens when you’re off the mountain? Sometimes it can be tough trying to plan other activities with the young ones, but not to worry! Below are just a few of our favorite things to do after skiing in Park City.
Tubing at Woodward
With Woodward Park City now fully open, there’s never been a better time to check it out! With trampolines, foam pits, and indoor skateparks this place really is amazing! A newly added magic carpet makes tubing at Woodward fun and easy! Bring the whole family for some tubing action or enjoy a cocktail at The Grind Café while the kids play!
Dog Sledding
If you want to check out the surrounding scenery of Park City then what better way then dog sledding! There are a handful of dog sledding companies located near Park City, Destination Sports and Adventures and Rocky Mountain Recreation being two that boast of their dogs’ Iditarod experiences.
Utah Olympic Park
Want to discover more about Olympic history? Check out the Eccles 2002 Winter Games Museum and the Alf Engen Ski Museum located within Utah Olympic Park. Experience what it feels like to speed down a bobsled course with a ride on the Comet Bobsled or if you get lucky, watch some future Olympians practicing on the jumps!
Historic Main Street
Take a stroll with the family down this historic road located right in the middle of Park City! Not only does Main Street have some of the best food in town, with places like No Name Saloon and Riverhorse on Main. This street is also scattered with unique little shops, museums and art galleries. Learn about the history of Park City at the Park City Museum or admire the art at the Kimball Art Center. Best thing about the Kimball Art Center? It’s free! With rotating art exhibits and art classes for the whole family this art gallery is one of our favorite places to get creative!
The Escape Room
With four different escape rooms to explore there’s countless hours of fun at Escape Room, Park City Utah! Each room has a different level of difficulties so you can find the perfect one no matter how old the kids are.
Snowmobiling
If you still want to go fast even after the lifts close then renting a few snow sleds for the family is the perfect way! Snowmobiling is a great way to discover Park City and the surrounding area and with its vast web of trails. All Season Adventures and Red Pine Adventures are two of many that offer guided tours for families. Speed across open fields and weave your way up mountain tops as you discover Park City in this truly unique way!
Snow Shoe Tours
The hiking doesn’t stop in the Winter! If skiing didn’t tire the kids out then snowshoeing definitely will! Most places offer different difficulty levels with hikes lasting anywhere from one to five hours. Some places like All Season Adventure even offer transportation and moonlight dinner tours (you just have to bring your own smores).
Sleigh Rides
There’s really nothing quite like a sleigh ride within a winter wonderland! Now your dreams can be filled with group and private sleigh rides available. Bundle up the whole family and get ready to enjoy the scenery of Park City all from within the back of a sleigh.
