It’s January and The Canyons gets good

Having lived in Park City for a few years, it always seems like The Canyons Resort is a little behind in their trail/​terrain openings. Well, this past weekend proved that once again…BUT — it’s always worth the wait! The steep and deep terrain of 9990 opened on Saturday and the skiing was epic! 

The Canyons is my favorite mountain in Utah…the vast terrain is spectacular and for those experienced skiers and riders, there is no place like it! 9990 is host to many challenging areas and as days pass and the snow keeps coming, everything is sure to be open shortly. 

While skiing at these mountains, it’s important to select the right ski. When it snows a lot, I always ski the Volkl Mantra, which is available at the best Park City Ski Shop. On those epic blue bird groomer days, I ski the Volkl Unlimited AC 50. It’s great being able to test different skis at any time.
