Quick eats in Vail
La Cantina — Best food you will ever have in a parking garage. Mexican and skiing go together anyway. Tucked away on the second floor of the Vail parking structure offers standard mexican fair. I mean “standard” as a compliment. This no fuss food follows the basic structure of mexican fair: meat, beans, cheese, and tortilla. Order a marg or a beer to make a filling and satisfying apres. Free chips and salsa if you spend over 5 bucks.
Moe’s BBQ — I will come clean and say that I am from the New England and know far more about ski rentals than good BBQ. I apologize to everyone from Kansas City to Texas if championing a chain as a local eats offends you. But I love Moe’s. Located in the Lionshead arcade, it is a bit of a walk from Eagle Bahn Gondola, but their catfish sandwich or brisket special is worth it. If you are looking a for a frugal apres, Moe’s offers a tall boy domestic adult beverage and basket of wings for under $10.
