Snow is on the Way Across North America
Try as we might, predicting what winter has in store for snowfall is no easy feat. We are excited to see that much of the U.S. is expecting some snow this weekend, offering a full return to winter for many.
Below, we rounded up a list of locations expected to see 6 inches of snow or more in the next five days:
Jackson Hole: 11 inches of snow expected in the next 1 – 5 days, with the long-term forecast expecting 21 inches in the next 6 – 10 days.
Palisades Tahoe: 9 inches of snow in the next 1 – 5 days, 32 inches in the next 6 – 10 days. Did someone say powder days?!
Steamboat: 9 inches of snow in the next 1 – 5 days (with most expected to fall on Saturday, 2⁄7), and 15 inches in the next 6 – 10 days.
Winter Park: 9 inches of snow expected in the next 1 – 5 days, mostly over the course of this weekend, and 11 inches in the next 6 – 10 days.
Sun Valley: 9 inches of snow in the next 1 – 5 days, anticipated to begin early in the weekend, and 8 inches in the next 6 – 10 days.
Mount Snow: 9 inches in the next 1 – 5 days. The 6 – 10 day forecast includes 23 inches of expected snow.
Vail: 8 inches of snow over this weekend, February 7 – 8, and 16 inches of snow expected in the next 6 – 10 days.
Copper Mountain: Over the course of the weekend, Copper Mountain is forecasted to see 8 inches of snow, and 14 inches of snow is expected in the next 6 – 10 days.
Big Sky: The storm is expected to begin Friday, 2⁄7, with snow showers over the weekend, followed by an added 9 inches next week.
Mammoth Mountain: Mammoth is forecast to receive 7 inches of snow early in the weekend, and then a whopping 36 inches in the next 6 – 10 days.
Northstar: 6 inches of snow this weekend is expected, and a storm next week is predicted to bring 23 inches of more snow.
Deer Valley: Deer Valley is forecasted to see 6 inches of snow over the course of this weekend, followed by 20 inches late next week.
Blue Mountain: Over the course of the weekend, 6 inches of snow is expected, followed by 13 inches in the next 6 – 10 days.
