The Ski Season Comes to an End in Breck

Hello from Breckenridge. Well, we have all finally put our skis away for the season. Ski season has officially ended, and golf season is in full swing. Arapahoe Basin stayed open through July 4th for the first time in 14 years! It was a classic Colorado 4th of July; plenty of BBQ, endless sunshine, baseball, fireworks, bathing suits and epic spring skiing. The slope side row of parking spots, known as The Beach” was quite the party. Those of you lucky enough to have experienced The Beach” first hand know what I’m talking about. Those of you, who haven’t, should.

All of us in Breckenridge have welcomed the return of the annual Bike Week, which runs through July 10. Bike week is a family friendly event, designed for all levels biking ability. It is truly a celebration of all aspects of the cycling community and of Breckenridge itself,” says event spokeswoman Rachel Zerowin. We have rides, races, and clinics for cyclists of all ages and ability levels.”

On July 16, Breckenridge will be hosting its much anticipated Brews and Views Festival. This beer festival will feature over 25 breweries, including live music with Holden Young Trio, Something Underground and headliner Elliott Brood!

The weather has finally turned, and summer is here to stay. The grass is green, the aspen trees are shimmering and the wildflowers are in full bloom. The increased temperatures have melted the majority of the snow, and the rivers are flowing at maximum capacity. Rafting companies are taking advantage of the best whitewater in nearly three decades! Hiking, biking, and camping conditions are ideal. Simply put, it is a good time to be in the mountains of Colorado!

Even though the 2010/2011 ski season has recently come to an end, all of us at Ski Butlers are anxiously awaiting next season. We have all been working long days, and countless hours to further build the Ski Butlers culture and to perfect all aspects of Ski Rental Delivery. We are extremely excited about the changes and progress we have made, and can’t wait to show all of you. Have a wonderful summer!

Thank you from all of us in Breckenridge. We look forward to seeing you next season!
