Aspen Mountain to Open Early for Skiing
A recent storm dumped close to 2 feet of snow on the mountains surrounding Aspen and this has prompted the Aspen Skiing Company to open Aspen Mountain (Ajax) early.
The mountain will be opening this Saturday, almost a week early. Skico will be running the Silver Queen Gondola and the Ajax Express, allowing access to about 120 acres of terrain. Skiers and Riders will be able to ski top-to-bottom.
Daily lift tickets from Saturday to 11⁄26 with be $79 for adults. There will be a special rate extended to passholders of other resorts of $55 for adults, just show your pass.
“We are a ski town, we have snow and we are pleased to start spinning the lifts,” David Perry, the COO of Aspen Skiing Company said in a news release.
