Beaver Creek Local Guide, Part Two

Beaver Creek is all about the little things, which leads to visitors boasting big, positive reviews. There are escalators throughout the base so you don’t have to worry about tripping up or down the stairs in ski boots. Slopeside ski valets are very prevalent in the resort as well so there’s no need to lug around the heavy equipment. All guests are treated like royalty and you certainly feel pampered during your entire stay. 

Resort Highlight: In Beaver Creek most hotels and lodging properties are easily accessible to runs and lifts and some even have access right out the back door. It’s a perfectly designed village with heated sidewalks and they even have uniformed staffers awaiting arriving families to help carry gear and guide them to ski classes. These small yet impactful touches make Beaver Creek highly attractive to families. If you’re staying in a standalone home or lodge outside the resort Beaver Creek offers convenient transportation to help make your vacation experience seamless. Timely shuttles buses and complimentary door-to-door transportation, the system makes getting around the resort extremely easy. One of the more unique offerings in Beaver Creek is the Vilar Performing Arts Center. It’s a 530 seat theatre offering year round entertainment including jazz, comedy, dance, film, Broadway musicals, rock concerts, family shows and more. 


Off-Hill Activities: The Beaver Creek Ice Rink is located right in the heart of the village making it a go to spot for people wanting a day to explore the offerings of the village and those wanting to take advantage of more family fun activities. The best way to end a day of skiing or to simply people watch while enjoying the ski culture, head to Powder 8. In the afternoon they provide locals and visitors with live indoor & outdoor music on their extremely large patio. You’ll have the opportunity to grab a spot just for your party or get to know others by sitting at their large communal tables.


Restaurants & Apres: A Beaver Creek favorite is Tuscanini, a fine dining tapas and wine establishment. Right next to the skating rink, it’s a convenient location with a gorgeous alpine backdrop in an atmosphere that is lively and informal. For family dining head to Blue Moose Pizza, it’s a light and casual spot with fun staff that want to make your vacation memorable. The Dusty Boot for apres will have the best drink specials and deals in town. It’s a little off the beaten path, still located in the village but if your looking to still wear your snow pants, have a beer and a shot and enjoy the company of locals, the Dusty Boot is the place for you.
