Helpful Tips for Your Upcoming Ski Vacation

Mammoth

So you’re going on a ski vacation. Flights are booked, hotel is reserved, and you’ve started doing a few more squats to get ready for the slopes. Even with all that preparation there’s always something that could be an obstacle between you, and having the best ski vacation you possibly can. We know that packing and planning the logistics can be stressful, and that’s why we’ve put together a list of tips to help you make sure your vacation goes smoothly.

Reserve Day Tickets Ahead Of Time

For those who haven’t purchased a season pass, making sure to buy your day passes ahead of your trip will ensure you don’t end up running into any issues once your boots are buckled. With over-capacity issues in past seasons, many resorts have limited the amount of day tickets being sold in order to mitigate the amount of people on the mountain and shorten the lines at chair lifts. Most resorts offer a discount if tickets are bought beforehand as well and can be the easiest way to not only secure your spot but save a little money as well.

Lessons

Last year staffing shortages led to canceled or fully booked ski lessons, especially private lessons. Booking your lessons in advance will help ensure you get yourself, or your little ones, into lessons and sharpening those skiing skills.

Restaurant Reservations

With some restaurants only offering reservations 30 to 60 days in advance. Making sure to book as soon as you can will ensure you’ll be able to get a table at your favorite restaurant. Trying to walk in and grab a table, especially during Holiday times, can be difficult and could result in a long wait or no table.

Calling ahead and seeing what your favorite restaurant’s reservation policy is before you arrive is a great way to make sure you don’t lose out on getting that dish that you’ve been dreaming about.

Once again it looks like it is going to be a busy winter and ski equipment is already getting booked up, especially around the holiday times. Reserving your equipment as far in advance as you can will help you stress-free once you arrive for your vacation.
