Both River Run and Warm Springs Lodge host full bars and great après scenes. At River Run you can enjoy live music nearly every Saturday of the season. On the Warm Springs side you will find the famous Apples Bar & Grill, which is just a snowball throw away from the lodge. This is where most of the locals will be located after the lifts stop turning. Apple’s was founded in 1972 and the owners have a story or two to prove it, just ask!
If you’re going into town there are a number of places you can visit. Two noteworthy locations are Lefty’s Bar & Grill and Grumpy’s Bar & Grill. Lefty’s was founded in 1993 and can be characterized by its casual atmosphere. With 13 draft beer selections, nearly 30 bottles of beer and wine by the glass, you are sure to find your favorite after skiing beverage here. Grumpy’s was established around 1972 and has the beer cans on the wall to prove it. Its walls are decorated with cans that are no longer in circulation as well as pictures of local legends. If you are after a larger beverage be sure to ask for a schooner.
If you’re interested in more of a refined experience, the Sun Valley Lodge offers just that. In the lounge you can enjoy classic music as well as live piano performances by guest musicians. At the bar you can order a drink and watch ice skaters on Sun Valley’s outdoor ice rink as you wait.
