Jackson Hole 2020 – 21 Policies Released
With the ski season quickly approaching, resorts are beginning to announce their approach to the 20 – 21 season amid COVID. Jackson Hole is no different, and they recently announced new policies in order to ensure everyone has a safe and comfortable mountain experience this season. With a number of different pass options to ski Jackson, we thought we’d help simplify the information to make your Jackson vacation as seamless as possible.
Like many other resorts, Jackson Hole has implemented a reservation system for the 20 – 21 season, but unlike Epic Resort’s reservation system, Jackson Hole will still be allowing guests who have already bought the Rendezvous Peak, Grand, 7 or 10 day passes to have full access to the mountain without placing reservations. Sales of single day and afternoon passes are paused and are expected to resume October 5th, depending on how far in advance the tickets have been bought. Unfortunately, the 7 and 10 day passes will no longer be on sale for the rest of the season.
If you are an Ikon pass holder, you will also be required to make reservations prior to skiing at Jackson Hole. This system is being set up by the Alterra Mountain Company across all of their resorts, with reservations going live on November 9th. Ikon holders will be able to make reservations throughout the entirety of the winter season as long as capacity allows using either ikonpass.com or the Ikon pass app.
For those who purchased the Mountain Collective Pass, you will be able to use your 2 to 3 day passes without reservations. If you’d like to have your days reserved beforehand, you can easily contact Jackson Hole by email at mountaincollective@jacksonhole.com.
Along with the new reservation features, Jackson Hole is also doing its part on the mountain to make sure capacity stays controlled and guests are feeling safe while they enjoy the slopes. A few of these changes include reduced capacity at restaurants and reduced crowd sizes at the base by creating a queue and maze system. You’ll be able to get up the mountain more quickly as they plan to increase lift speeds. One of the most interesting details about the Jackson Hole announcement is that the Aerial Tram will operate at a smaller capacity on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally, for those who miss the tram but still want to head to Rendezvous Bowl, Jackson Hole is introducing a boot pack trail from the top of the Sublette Lift. You’ll definitely earn those turns!
