Ski Butlers has Joined 1% for the Planet
Ski Butlers has joined 1% for the Planet, pledging to donate 1% of annual sales to support environmental organizations. We understand the urgency in addressing climate change and believe that working with organizations on a national level and in our local communities, we can help make a difference.
“One of our five core values is “Give” – to give back to the local communities that have given us so much,” says Bryn Carey, CEO of Ski Butlers. “By joining 1% for the Planet, this gives us a platform to lead on giving back, which hopefully inspires other businesses and leaders to support the environment and change the world.”
Since partnering with 1% for the Planet, Ski Butlers has already donated $5,852 to Bonneville Environmental Foundation, a non-profit organization who focuses on restoring freshwater ecosystems and catalyzing a renewable energy future. Along with $2,400 to Carbonfund.org, whose goal is to make it easy for individuals, businesses and organizations to reduce and offset their climate impact.
This year alone, we’ve continued our advocacy efforts by switching banks and becoming Climate Neutral to offset our carbon emissions. Becoming 1% allows us to acknowledge to our local communities that we are committed to giving back to them after everything they have given us.
This is just the next step in a climate journey that Bryn started back in 2010 when joining Protect Our Winters. Since that initial step, Ski Butlers has made it a priority to shift business decisions with climate front of mind. The groundwork started with POW and has moved on to us advocating our mountain towns to become 100% clean energy through MT2030. While also making our shops more sustainable by adding solar panels, investing in EV vans, and going paperless with all our deliveries to help offset our carbon footprint.
And we are just getting started.
